A '''scroll''' is a map [[MCD:Item|item]] that can be found in various optional [[MCD:Sub Dungeon|sub dungeons]] within [[MCD:Mission Select|missions]], that when collected unlock [[MCD:Secret Mission|secret missions]]. They are usually found within another mission, with the one exception being the scroll located within [[MCD:Moo Room|Moo Room]] at the back of [[MCD:Great Hall|Great Hall]] in [[MCD:Camp|Camp]], which unlocks {{MCD|???}}. Scrolls appear on stone plinths that usually have a candle on them that gets blown out when collecting the scroll.

All missions containing scrolls have a 100% chance for their scroll to generate, with the exception of scrolls found in the [[MCD:Island Realms|Island Realms]], which have a random chance for their scroll to generate. The three scrolls found in [[MCD:Other Dimensions|Other Dimensions]] are the only scrolls found on the main path of their missions, and not in optional sub dungeons.
