Squid Coast is the first mainland mission Dungeons. It automatically starts after creating a new character, and completing Squid Coast unlocks Camp, Creeper Woods, Dingy Jungle, Frosted Fjord, Windswept Peaks, Nether Wastes, Coral Rise, The Stronghold, and The Tower. Its difficulty is fixed at default I, and it can only be selected on the mission select map in an offline game on default difficulty.

{{Quote|SQUID COAST – As you embark on your quest to rid the land of evil, you witness the plight of the Villagers firsthand. |

Squid Coast is a large villager settlement that has been pillaged by the Arch-Illager's army. It contains abandoned houses and ships set on fire by the Illagers, which the heroes can loot due to permision by the villagers to stop the Arch-Illager. It features stone bridges, banners, market stalls, wheelbarrows, villager statues, lanterns, and log piles. Certain mobs must be slain to progress through the mission, and near the end of the mission a drawbridge must be lowered using a lever. Upon defeating the Arch-Illager for the first time, an obsidian chest becomes accessible inside Lighthouse, an optional sub dungeon found when turning right after the bridge that has a skeleton guarding it. This obsidian chest usually only drops emeralds, but can rarely drop a fishing rod or fireworks arrow. Upon reaching the end of Squid Coast, the heroes set up camp next to the abandoned Home and Great Hall, ending the mission.
