Garrett has long brown hair and a beard. During his trip to the {{AMCM|Overworld}}, he wears a pink leather jacket featuring noticeable streamers on the arms, over a primarily white shirt with a face on it. Prior to that, he wore a pink muscle shirt with red accents, featuring characters from the video game {{AMCM|Hunk City Rampage}}. Jason Momoa's real world tattoos are kept unchanged.

In 1989, Garrett was very similar to his current appearance. His hair is noticeably thinner and combed back but still quite long, while his stature is much lankier and not quite "hunk-like" yet, with him also possessing braces. He wears a pink T-shirt with the characters from the game.

Garrett was best known for being a video game world champion in 1989, but has made no notable accomplishments since then. Thus, he acts stuck-in-the-past and refuses to let go of his former glory. This makes him very competitive, as seen in a scene where he egotistically attempts to craft a better [[iron sword]] than {{AMCM|Steve}}, which backfires and results in him crafting a {{AMCM|bucket}} instead.<ref>{{ytl|Xgr9bVmCPHo|Minecraft Live 2024: A MINECRAFT MOVIE {{!}} EXCLUSIVE INSIGHT|Minecraft|September 28, 2024}}</ref> At the same time, he has also been shown to get along with Steve, doing a special handshake upon meeting and letting Steve ride him whilst flying with {{AMCM|elytra}}.
