Walda is a female evoker who used to be the leader of Archie's tribe until Archie stumbled upon the Orb of Dominance which granted him immense power, dropping her place as leader of the tribe. She appears in Minecraft Dungeons:The Rise of the Arch-Illager and she was the one who crowned the Arch-Illager in the opening sequence of the game.
Appearance
Walda is tall and skinny evoker with typical illager appearances, such as gray skin and thick eyebrows. She uses feminine pronouns. As seen in her only official appearance in the opening cinematic, she wears evoker's signature black robe with yellow trim. The leaders of the Illager tribe had never worn any special clothes or had anything that marked them as exceptional before Archie's rise to power, implying she, in fact, has a physical appearance similar to that of any evoker.
Personality
Having been the leader of a tribe of Illagers for a long time, Walda perpetrates the standards and notions of her people, such as their beliefs in the usage of strength and cunning to achieve power over others and to keep it. She has obtained a unique set of knowledge and wisdom from her experiences as a tribe chief and as an evoker, which she is not afraid to use in her favor. In her younger years, she led nomadic Illagers through much of the Mainland, granting her a lot of familiarity with the region. She has been reported to be the best Illager leader in the land, but even then, her wildest ambitions have only involved keeping her people together and fed. She believes that the true might of her Illagers comes from them staying together; otherwise, they stand no chance against their threats.
She exhibits many traits associated with good leadership, such as her assertiveness and unyielding behavior. She has enough practice in rulership to be able to assess her environment appropriately and quickly, being ready to make a decision even in desperate situations. She does not think rulership works particularly well by defeating all who challenge your authority, as that can give a reason for others to think that they might have been right. The penalty for stealing from fellow Illagers in her tribe is severe, with Walda meting out justice without mercy. Her pride has made her reluctant to bow down to anybody, but she will do so if she has to. After having lost control over the tribe to Archie, she connived at the theft of resources from the Fiery Forge by Thord, hoping he could defeat Archie, showcasing her power-hunger and willingness to conspire against others to reclaim power. She begins to fear Archie and constantly tries to appeal to his vanity to save herself as he starts to threaten her life and destroys Thord at last.

Biography
Thord and Archie eventually arrive at the woodland mansion, where they are greeted by the other Illagers. Somehow, Archie has an idea, running past Thord and greeting Walda, the leader of the Illagers. Archie then explains to Walda that the hero had stole the victory from the Illagers, putting the blame on Thord by saying that it was him that thought he could take on a hero all by himself. The other Illagers gasp in response. Archie then asks Walda if she had appointed Thord herself, in which she replies that she did. She then says that the Illagers still haven’t learned the lesson from the last time they died, saying that they still charge into battle without thinking about other dangers. Thord and Archie then have an argument about who was in charge of their particular group, specifically as to who was at fault for the death of the raiding party. Archie then punches Thord, who drops to the ground, clutching his injured leg. Archie yells at him to get up, kicking him in the thigh. Walda then says to Archie that because of his actions, he would be banished from the group of Illagers, seemingly forever.

According to the Nintendo Switch News' Minecraft Dungeons channel article, Walda was the Evoker that was defeated by the heroes at the end of the Pumpkin Pastures mission.citation needed

Quotes

Trivia
* The name Walda is an anglicization of the Old English name wealda, which means "ruler".
* Besides Archie, Walda is the only non-hero character from the novel to get an official appearance, although she does not look much different from regular evokers.
