== Description  ==
These are typically blobs (clusters) of [[glowstone]] that can be among the hardest natural materials to harvest that don't require digging. They form in coral-like structures on the underside of hanging [[netherrack]], so they are often found on the ceilings of the Nether, where they provide light along with the ever-present lava.

Glowstone blobs consist of one block-wide tendrils extending from a central clump. Being found in caves, hanging above an ocean of [[lava]] and even within [[nether fortress]]es, they are the main source of charges of glowstone for [[respawn anchor]]s. 

Glowstone blobs can be found in every Nether biome, although they are significantly rarer in [[soul sand valley]]s,<ref>{{bug|MC-171520||Glowstone clusters cannot generate in Soul Sand Valley biomes|WAI}}</ref> because the ceiling of this biome is made of [[soul sand]] or [[soul soil]] below which glowstone blobs cannot generate; they can still occasionally generate in caves and canyons in this biome,<ref>{{bug|MC-192936||Glowstone clusters generate on netherrack in Soul Sand Valley|WAI}}</ref> because the ceiling is made of netherrack.
